In Play With Me: Dolls, Women and Art, journalist Grace Banks explores the work of 40 artists who are united by their shared use of doll-like forms to explore and subvert the representation of women in visual culture.

To celebrate the launch of her timely new book, join Grace in conversation with Clem De Pressigny as they discuss the intersection of women’s bodies with art, politics, science, pornography and economics.

Grace Banks is a journalist and editor contributing to The Guardian, The New York Times, Broadly., Interview Magazine, Wallpaper* Magazine, AnOther, VICE, i News and others. Her work is focused on gender, current affairs, culture and literature. She was formerly a news editor at NBC News London where she covered gender and UK politics.

Clem de Pressigny is International Editor at i-D, managing the editorial output from 12 countries. She is also a writer, with a particular interest in gender, art and film.
