Libreria and Second Home present a third instalment of Veranda: a monthly poetry & spoken word event showcasing the freshest literary talent around London.

This month, three headline poets will perform the most provocative and engaging pieces of their work for an intimate evening of poetry and drinks.

Three poets:

R.A Villanueva

R. A. Villanueva is a Filipino American poet and author of the critically acclaimed collection, Reliquaria (University of Nebraska Press, 2014). Reliquaria won the 2013 Prairie Schooner Book Prize as a debut collection. Villanueva is the founding editor of Tongue: A Journal of Writing & Art and currently lives in London.

Inua Ellams

Inua Ellams is an award winning poet, playwright and founder of the Midnight Run. Inua was Born in Nigeria and is an internationally touring poet. His work focuses on identity, displacement and destiny and the contrasts between old and new, the traditional and contemporary. His books are published by Flipped Eye, Akashic and Oberon.

Victoria Anne-Bulley

Victoria Adukwei Bulley is a poet and writer and part of the 2017 New-Generation African Poets series. A former Barbican Young Poet, her work has been featured by the Royal Academy of Arts, in The Rialto and on BBC Radio 4. Victoria is British-born Ghanaian and was shortlisted for the Brunel University International African Poetry Prize 2016 and is one of ten poets on the acclaimed UK mentorship programme, The Complete Works.
